From Utl to now ” UTEL Telecom” as a new brand , with the government’s support to revamp the company back to full scale of business.
Ugandan government has many times promised to revamp the National Telecom company back to business. Since the national telecom has the best backbone of the infrastructure that most private companies subscribe on.
Utel’s new leadership of Maggie Mukiibi Lutwama as the company’s ceo together with the entire management has so far showed seniority and steady progress to improved services.
The Ugandan government has continued funding utel telecom company and also putting in place new policies and regulations to improve the company’s performance and services. This involves restructuring the management, investing in new technology and infrastructure, and increasing competition in the market to drive innovations to improved services.
Additionally, the government has also provided financial support to the company to help them modernize and improve their services. This could include development, tax breaks, or funding for infrastructure upgrades.
By revamping a telecom company, the government aims to stimulate economic growth, enhance the quality of telecommunications services, and ensure that the company remains competitive in the rapidly evolving industry.
