Glimmer of Hope Encompasses Edith Nagujja Jakaana Basks in Hospitable Remodeled Home as She Awaits Court Verdict

At the backdrop of several court battles over the family estate and her own home, Edith Nagujja Jakana
aka Mama 94, has at least something tangible that has brought a full smile onto her delicate face.

This shade of beam is a result of an ongoing project championed by her children, to avail her with
desired mobility around the house without the need to ring an SOS bell for her minders that include
an in-house nurse to do so.

The assistive model of the ‘new’ house gives Mama the much-needed ‘independence’ that she once
cherished before arthritis confined her to a wheelchair. With a state-of-the-art self-maneuvering device
at her disposal, the amazingly alert and jovial Mama will now be able to even view her front and
humble backyard with little or no help, but yes some concerned praying eyes for her complete safety.

However, this project also did not progress without hiccups as her estranged son, Daniel Jakana Jr tried
at no avail to frustrate it by engaging local authorities and security to stay it, as they found it prudent to
let his mother at least have some comfort of using her house as desired.

Whereas it’s still a work in progress, Mama is ready to blossom under this roof for the rest of her life.

Who is Edith Nagujja Jakana?

She is the widow of the late Daniel Nelson George Nkuse Jakana. Who passed away on December 24 in
1994?

In his will, dated January 31st, 1971, Jakana Snr appointed her and her estranged son Daniel as the
executors of the will and probate was granted in February 2005.

However, it was later discovered that Daniel Jakana Jr, who at the time had been entrusted with the
responsibilities of managing the family estate, had allegedly forged and used her signature fraudulently.

The family has since then been embroiled in various disputes over the estate that are in court pending
determination.

At 94, Mama, a sworn Christian continues to envisage a positive outcome from these daunting cases
