An Update On Kabaka Mutebi’s Failing Health.

Buganda’s bedridden monarch, His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi suspects he was poisoned, a group of his palace handlers have revealed. They assert more or less everyone else at Mengo is aware of this issue but that no one of them can dare to speak about it in public. They explain that cannot happen because it was decreed that the sensitive issue should strictly and completely be kept under wraps.

” The bosses in Mengo issued a tough directive and said that that issue should never be disclosed by anybody attached to Mengo or any other institution attached thereto,” the group claims. They say the authorities justified non-disclosure of the issue as being the need to maintain normalcy and public order. Mutebi’s fresh fears of poison being the possible cause of his ill health, emerge at the time when his subjects are too very perturbed on account of his increasingly failing health.His poor health status has seen the Kabaka making several rounds of flights to Germany to seek for specialized treatment and management for what his medical handlers describe as a strange and life-threatening ailment.

Germany is highly rated as the best and most specialized destination when it comes to the treatment and management of serious health complications related to poison. The fresh revelations of poison as the suspected cause of Kabaka’s poor health add a new layer of confusion and anxiety as to what exactly the monarch is afflicted with.

Allergy versus poison

Mengo, the administration seat of Buganda kingdom, merely cites what they refer to as a stubborn strain of allergy to be the cause of Kabaka Ronnie Mutebi’s current health predicament. Be that as it may, a group of highly placed Mengo palace officials has broken rank with Mengo’s official position, revealing how the Kabaka himself fears that he was maliciously poisoned.  These new and fresh stunning revelations add a new spin to the evidently sensitive debate about the cause of Kabaka’s poor health.

“Ssaabasajja highly suspects that he was set up and then poisoned,” that’s how they assert as they reveal what they claim to be Kabaka’s thoughts on the source of his failing health. They further assert, “That has been one of Kabaka’s greatest fears and horrible suspicions as he endures one of the most challenging tribulations of his lifetime.” 

Enter Cyprian Kizito Lwanga

This group claims that prior to breaking the stunning news of poison to anyone else, the very first person Kabaka Mutebi shared his fears with was the late Archbishop of Kampala Catholic Diocese, Rt Rev Cyprian Kizito Lwanga. They divulge that Kabaka Mutebi himself contacted the late Catholic Prelate to relay to him how he had been poisoned. They insist on how prior to breaking this new piece of disturbing news to Archbishop Kizito Lwanga, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi had spent time inside his palace at Banda, helplessly nursing excruciating pain.

Kabaka Mutebi prefers to live in his palace in Banda, leaving that at Kireka Hill constructed by the government, to his officially wedded wife, Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata to use and stay in. According to this group, while he was undergoing untold pain, Kabaka Mutebi kept blaming poison as the cause of the predicament he was experiencing. That Kabaka Mutebi could be heard wondering and asking who to trust and entrust with his secret version of poison until he allegedly at long last zeroed on his friend, Kampala Archdiocese Archbishop, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga as the very best person to be trusted and entrusted with one of his highly regarded secrets.

Kabaka Snubs Museveni

Asked what stopped Kabaka Mutebi from dialing up his friend, President Yoweri Museveni to help him fix his predicament, the group merely answered back and proposed that that question should be put to Kabaka himself in case it was possible since he himself knows better as to why he chose to keep his health problems from the knowledge of his friend.

Whereas the Kabaka had reportedly rejected it from the word go, we have been reliably made aware that the two finally agreed themselves that it was crucial to contact the president for the assistance the Kabaka needed since he the president was in possession of that assistance, anyway. The president guided and both the patient and the Archbishop agreed, seeking the required treatment from Karen Hospital in neighboring Kenya since the country and the whole world were still being ravaged by the first round of Covid 19, making it impossible for the patient to find a flight to fly him abroad for the needed treatment there.

So it was and Kabaka Mutebi, thank God, finally secured the much-needed relief from Karen Hospital, returning back to the country healthy, steady, and a lot much better. The Kabaka would again upon falling seriously sick again, keep house again, rejecting any proposal to speak to the president again, prompting the president himself to deploy and plant spies on the Kabaka, finally dispatching the patient to Germany for proper treatment. 

Back to Square One

As we write, His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi is yet again languishing in hospital in Germany as medics grapple with fixing his disturbingly stubborn health woes.

Reverting to the startling revelations of poison by the group of Kabaka’s palace handlers, following the death of Bishop Adrian Kivumbi Ddungu of Masaka Diocese, who was his trusted confidant and a great pillar of support, Mutebi is believed to have turned to Cyprian Kizito Lwanga and Metropolitan Yona Lwanga for spiritual support and advise during most of his trying moments. That special relationship Archbishop Kizito Lwanga and Kizito Lwanga used to share would ordinarily seem to suggest that what this new group from Mengo assert is what is the truth although without necessarily implying that it’s actually the gospel truth.

Assertion

Subsequently, what that group assert need to be tested against the official position by Mengo on this matter which is that the Kabaka is down with a serious strain of allergy not because of poison. The fact that Kizito himself died without revealing what the Kabaka had allegedly told him in confidence leaves us with no basis to assert what the new group from Mengo assert is the gospel truth. Yet because Mengo asserts allergy is the probable cause of Kabaka Mutebi’s health problems, that only cannot be used as a basis and justification to shut all the doors, stopping any further investigation into this matter whether in the immediate present or future times by those who may desire and wish to travel that distance. 

Recall that upon the death of the formerly very assertive as well as fearless Kizito Lwanga himself, there emerged a serious big rumor about how he himself had been bumped by his enemies using poison. That view quickly gained a lot of currency considering that the formerly chubby top Catholic Prelate had the day prior to his death celebrated mass without any visible sign of ill health neither had he complained of any whatsoever. The quickly extracted results of the autopsy were unsurprisingly unusually read out from A up to Z to mourners by the director of Nsambya St Francis Hospital during a mass held at Lubaga Cathedral in honor of the soul and works of one of the formerly highly respected as well as deeply development-minded Archbishop of his times.

Contrary to what was largely the public view, the autopsy indicated that Archbishop Cpyrian Kizito Lwanga had not died of poison but out of and because of natural causes. They spoke in strict confidence out of fear of attracting the wrath of Mengo for breaching Buganda’s culture which bars anyone from disclosure of Kabaka’s poor health secrets save with prior permission from the monarch himself.

Once bitten twice shy

We understand that after the suspected occurrence of this security lapse, the once outgoing and very embracing Kabaka has since turned into a very choosy person with regard to who should appear in and near his company. We have learned that Kabaka Mutebi is pushing for enrolling his preferred Crown Prince, Richard Nabbunga Wasajja Ssemakookiro in school in London away from Uganda, fearing he could be possibly harmed, highlighting how the Kabaka himself could be fearing for his life.

In all in all, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has a very reason to suspect considering that his father, Sir Edward Walugembe  Luwangula Muteesa the Second was also rumored to have been poisoned by agents of Dr Milton Obote. That is not to suggest in any way that Kabaka Mutebi was also poisoned since even as his father was said to have been poisoned that was ruled out by a medical report issued subsequently in London. In any case, Mengo’s official comment about this issue is that Kabaka is down with allergy.
