The payment was in respect to compensation Umeme paid for illegally disconnecting Akram Matovu’s client’s factory from power.

As the matter proceeds from court, Umeme finally agreed to pay Matovu’s client and the Bulletin media confirms from its reliable sources that indeed Umeme organized and transferred the monies, and to them, the matter was solved and closed on their side.

Monies totaling 80,328,000/= were transferred to the head office of Diamond Trust Bank Uganda Ltd account no. 00691830020, for Matovu on behalf of his beneficiary Mr. Waiswa David but news has reached this website that it’s been years that Akram Matovu used all his client’s monies for his own purposes to date and has never sympathized to pay back.

Bitterness between Matovu the lawyer and Waiswa the client has grown bitterly for the deal gone bad, to the extent of escalating bitter to verbal exchange by the learned friend.  He has been arrested by Waiswa and paraded before Mbale court only to be granted bail.

Referring to the lawyer’s ill act of swindling 80,328,000/= from the client’s compensation judgment after a court ruling in favor of one  Waiswa David, a matter dated to civil suit no. 064 of 2010 and 64 of 2013, referring to the lawyer as dirty double-dealing and whose dishonest and corrupt acts stand.
